The Candidates
Two neighbors on the ballot together
Kyle Kotch and Jeff De Vaul are running as a pair for the Upper Saddle River Board of Education.
Kyle Kotch
Candidate
Kyle Kotch is an enterprise technology leader and executive, long time community volunteer, and a candidate for the Upper Saddle River Board of Education. With over fifteen years of experience leading software innovation, digital transformation and AI strategy at major technology companies including Microsoft, Nuance Communications and HCLTech, Kyle brings strategic planning, fiscal accountability and innovative problem-solving expertise to the district.
At home, Kyle and his wife Kristie are proud parents to two sons, Lochlan and Huxley, who both attend Bogert Elementary. During his 6+ years as a USR resident he has invested countless hours in local youth development and serves in a variety of leadership roles for Cub Scouts: coordinating STEM programs, outdoor adventures and community service projects that build character and teamwork.
Kyle is committed to bringing his professional leadership and community roots to the work of supporting Upper Saddle River students, families and educators. He is not afraid to ask the hard questions, will consider all options, and advocate for the best outcomes for our students and taxpayers.
Jeff De Vaul
Candidate
Jeff De Vaul is an industrial manufacturing executive and a candidate for the Upper Saddle River Board of Education. With more than thirty years of experience leading operations, P&L management and business transformation for global manufacturers, including serving as President and Chief Operating Officer of a multinational engineered equipment company, Jeff brings financial discipline and a record of growth to the district.
At home, Jeff and his wife are parents to their daughter, who attends Bogert Elementary School, and the family has called Upper Saddle River home for eight years. Frequent work travel once made public service difficult, but that changed recently, and he is now able to give back to a community he loves.
Jeff is eager to bring his professional leadership and operating experience to supporting Upper Saddle River students, families and educators.
